For Educators & Teachers

Bitbybit is a practical tool for teaching 3D geometry, mathematics, and programming. Students see immediate visual results from their code, which makes abstract concepts tangible. Everything runs in the browser - there is nothing to install.

Classroom Setup

Use the Blockly editor for younger or beginner students: its blocks teach computational thinking without typing. The Rete editor suits students who think in diagrams: they wire nodes into a graph and see each change at once. For more advanced classes, the TypeScript editor provides a real programming environment. Each editor has tutorials with a picture after every step, starting from Getting Started.

No Accounts Needed for Students

We take student privacy seriously. Students do not need accounts to use the editors. The three coding editors are completely free; only the Designer is part of a paid plan.

Without an account, students should:

  • Keep their projects in the browser, and export them to keep a copy elsewhere. Cloud saving requires an account.
  • Host assets in the browser when working with 3D models. See the Local Assets guide.

Sharing projects via URL is only available with an account.

Cloud Services for Classrooms
